More than 50% fully vaxed

Italy has reached an important vaccination milestone. More than 50% of its people aged 12 years and over are now fully vaccinated having received two doses of one of the EU approved vaccines. At the current rate they should reach about 75% by September or October and be at well over 80% by the spring of 2022.
Italy is now well on the way to achieving herd immunity. Scientists say that when this is achieved COVID-19 will become an endemic illness much like the common cold and influenza and life can begin to return to normal.
All the approved vaccines offer excellent protection from serious disease, and lessen the risk of passing it on to others. It will be a condition of joining one of my tours that you be fully vaccinated.
