Dior comes to Lecce

Enough about COVID-19. Time for some beauty and style.
On 22 July Christian Dior launched its ready to wear 2021 Cruise Resort Collection in the dazzlingly decorated Piazza Duomo in Lecce. Originally scheduled for May, the show had to be moved to July because of COVID-19.
For Dior Artistic Director Maria Grazia Chiuri, Puglia is the birthplace of her father and, long before coronavirus began, she was collaborating with artisans in Lecce in order for the collection to pay tribute to the area’s distinct culture of craft.
The show was carefully choreographed to respect social distancing. With very few people able to be there to watch the show in person, it became a television and online streaming sensation that attracted a global audience of many millions. Follow the links to check it out.
