Lessons learned
14 October 2022
There are so many lessons that come from the pandemic and how we dealt with it as individuals, communities and nation states. For the traveler I would like to highlight two.
The first is to get the best information and advice possible to guide your travel decisions and the best way to do this is to use a trusted and accredited travel agent. By all means use the internet to do your research, however using an accredited travel agent adds a very important layer of insurance to protect you because of unforeseeable catastrophic events.
The second is to buy the best travel insurance you can afford. You are spending thousands of on the holiday of a lifetime. So why risk all that money by skimping on insurance? It does not make sense and if something does go wrong, it will almost certainly be a case of false economy.

30 January 2022 at 5:35 amSo sorry to hear!
Can you recommend a good Italian school for foreigners in or around Lecce? I would like to go to Puglia in October 2022. I would like to stay someplace that is a good base to see areas of Puglia but be a big enough city. I am thinking that Lecce is big enough that I could find a good Italian school for 2 weeks. And then maybe travel up to Monopoli for a week and then up to Vieste (hiking) for a week.
Thank you!
Miriam

30 March 2022 at 12:27 pmCiao Miriam. Sorry for the long delay in getting back to you. I recommend Scuola Mondo Italia school of Italian for foreigners at http://www.italiahomestay.com/. If we are able to return in 2023, they will be our new Italian language partners.
Thanks
